Every masterpiece has a history, and our watches are no exception. From the shores of the Caspian Sea to the heart of America, the Agayev & Sons timepiece has a pedigree that is steeped in both traditional watchmaking and cutting edge technology. From the age of nine in his native Azerbaijan,
Sham Agayev has grown to become one of the most respected watchmakers in the world. A certified Master Watchmaker, he has an unmatched reputation for servicing some of the most valuable watches in existence. Fulfilling a lifelong dream, he has taken that experience to the next logical step – designing and building an exclusive and very limited line of exquisite watches for the discerning connoisseur. Sham has returned the art of fine watchmaking to the heart of America, Kansas City.
Throughout the design of the Agayev & Sons watch, you will find the symbol of the heart. It is found in the trademarked logo on the face, backing, and even the crown. That heart represents not only a passion for the finest timepieces, but also a bond that can only be found in the strongest families. Like Sham himself, his two sons engrossed themselves in the art of the watch at a very young age. Today his son Anar is in high school and his gift for math has given him a natural ability to design beautifully symmetrical watch faces. Son Shaban now attends college and is equally gifted. A natural athlete on the baseball field, he excels in anticipating the needs of every Agayev & Sons customer and makes the play to complete the perfect watch.
However the Agayev & Sons watch doesn’t end with the sons – not by any means. Ryan Green, Master Watchmaker and a dear friend to the Agayev family, has had monumental impact in the realization of the Agayev & Sons brand. Ryan's watchmaking skills and experience play a big role in the conception and manufacturing of the iconic case design that you'll find on every Agayev & Sons wrist watch.
Uncle Sahib Agayev speaks volumes when it comes to quality. His attention to detail on every Agayev & Sons case is evident from the highly polished surface to the crisp lines of every edge. Of course every family has a bond that brings everything together, and that is exemplified in Sham’s wife Nara. Also a native of Azerbaijan, she came to America with Sham and has been an invaluable partner throughout his life as a watchmaker. Today you can find Nara immersed in the art of Cloisonné, something that you may find in future Agayev & Sons watches.
